Our church aim
Jesus
Commitment
Maturity
...is for people to commit to and become more like Jesus.
The Jesus we invite people to commit to is the historical Jesus written about in the Bible: the Son of God who became God- Man, who died on a cross for our sins, and who rose from the dead that we might have new life. We believe that by faith in Jesus a person can get right with God.
We believe there is no more important decision that a person can make than the decision to commit one’s life to Jesus, and if you come to our services and you haven’t made that commitment already, sooner or later we will invite you to make it! However, we encourage people to understand what we are asking them to commit to, for example by attending an Alpha course.
We believe the initial commitment is only just the start of a lifetime of commitment – the commitment to become more like Jesus. In other words, we expect people to mature in their Christian faith. We do this by teaching and encouraging everyone to apply their faith to every aspect of their lives, including work, leisure, finances, relationships and time. Maturity, we believe, flows from an understanding of and a commitment to God, to our church family, and to those  outside the church.
