It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark. Four: Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big. Five: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done. Six: Build your future on high ground. Seven: For safety's sake, travel in pairs. Eight: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs. Nine: When you're stressed, float a while. Parable of the Rich Young Fool

Dad told me to get my Christmas list ready last night and to think big. I really want the new Sega Zion system. It's only £299. I couldn't think of anything else as I've got loads of gadgets. But I'm planning a big Christmas party for all my friends - Dad's paying! No worries.

Earlier Mum was crying in the kitchen but a man in the suit wouldn't let me in. All I could hear him say was 'I'm sorry, Mrs Anderson, there was nothing they could do.'

It's late now and Dad's not home. Where is he?

'What are we going to do now?' Mum shouted to one of the neighbours, 'We can't afford all this now! Spend, spend, spend that was him all over. What a fool.'
