The Noise 29th May - 31st May 2019 On Wednesday 29th May, Thursday 30th May and Friday 31st May the local churches carried out a Community Clear up at selected times – morning, afternoon and early evening. If you have any rubbish that you need to get rid of please call 075 2285 7001 (the line opened 1st May) to book a collection time. Last year we collected 6.66 tonnes from 52 different households. This was 8 van loads of rubbish (or trips to the tip). The recent fire at the Westhampnett tip has made things more difficult for everyone and for us too! It will mean we won’t be able to collect as much as in previous years - we really want to prioritise the situations of greatest need in our area including those who are not able to get to any of the alternative locations themselves. This means we probably won’t be able to fulfil every request for help we receive, so please do bear with us. On Saturday 1st June 2019 the local churches hosted a Community Fun Day from 11am to 3pm on Parklands Green. There were inflatables, seedlings/cuttings, games, BBQ, bike maintenance, garden tool sharpening, DVD and books swap, cream teas and much more – ALL FREE Then on Sunday 2nd June 2019 (or indeed any Sunday) you are very welcome at any of the local churches.
